Our Story

A Modern Indian Table

Saffron & Smoke was born from a simple belief — that Indian food deserves a contemporary stage without losing its soul. We don't fuse, we don't fancy-up. We cook the way our families do, just with better ingredients and a little more polish.

Our chef, Aarav Khanna, trained in the kitchens of Lucknow and London before coming home to Mumbai to open this room. Around him is a team that grinds spice every morning, kneads dough by hand, and still gets a little nervous when a regular walks in.

Slow Cooking, Always

Our dal simmers for sixteen hours. Our biryani is sealed and baked under live charcoal. Some things shouldn't be hurried.
